Weekend Mega Sale Vacuum Cleaners!
Caught your attention with the headline, didn’t we? Its headlines like this and more that tend to creep up on the internet and while a few actually talk or deliver on what they advertise most are only bothered with gathering more readers or visitors to their websites. Don’t worry, we do have a few old vacuum cleaners to get rid of!
All those text messages promising a prize or a gift if you send a message to someone somewhere, internet pop-up boxes congratulating you on winning a prize may seem incredulous because they actually are. None of them are true and is an advertising gimmick that is designed to rope in more visitors without caring about whether they are even remotely interested in the product that is being marketed through such negative methods. And that is how we got stuck with the first of our vacuum cleaners we will look at on our site here at Waterfalling-Up. It happened over a random phone call, rather a return call to a number I believed belonged to a local artist. Instead, it turned out to be a local store offering up major discounts at the weekend mega sale. Curiosity got the better of us and we went down there thinking of getting a few electronics for our studio. Instead, for some reason, we found the Bissell on sale to be a far better option and got that instead. Not that the vacuum cleaner hasn’t served us well but it wasn’t what we needed at the time as we already had a small Hoover in the studio.
In hindsight, we did learn a valuable lesson that day when it came to marketing. If you can make a big hype of something and even deliver just fifty percent of what you hyped up, people forgive you and consider you a success! Yes, that’s the way it is in the music and film industry. Trailers are designed to hype up a movie, music videos do the same for an artist and his or her album. It is only after actual sales are recorded, tickets are purchased that the reality comes out but by then it is already too late and those who invested money have come out richer.
Coming back to the title, we do indeed have three vacuum cleaners on sale. One is the same Bissell we instinctively purchased, another is a Dirt Buster handheld and the third is our first vacuum cleaner, a Hoover Tower cleaner. Give us a call if you are interested in any or all!
